First of all, I am in ETERNITY now. This state of probation is part of eternity. If I am not enjoying today and I keep telling myself that my happiness will begin in the hereafter or when some future event will occur, then I am deceiving myself. Joy and happiness is available today. Peace is available today. I do not have to have the trials and tribulations taken away in order to feel peace in this life.
Forgiveness is available to me today. The Holy Ghost is available to me today as I seek for it. Today is the only day I have to qualify for a Celestial Inheritance. Since this life is the time to prepare to meet God and I do not know how many days I have left, then today is my time to prepare and become.
Today is the only time I have to increase my faith in the Savior. It is the only day for me to increase my hope to be raised unto eternal life. It is the only day for me to repent of my sins, to experience joy and happiness, and to experience joy and happiness, and to become like my Heavenly Father, and to become one with Christ. If I do not know how to do these spiritual things today, then tomorrow will be the same as today.
Some of us deceive ourselves by repeating untruths like: I need hundreds of years to qualify for a Celestial Inheritance and I feel that much time is not long enough. I must do all the commandments before I can become a candidate for the Celestial Kingdom; I cannot be at peace when my spouse or children are not doing righteous things: since I do not feel like a person of worth, the I know I am not good enough for a Celestial Glory.
By taking control of my inner world and using the spiritual dimension correctly, I can have peace in my soul Today, regardless of what is happening in the temporal world.
